The Main Screen

  2. Switch through the supported languages (English and Vietnamese).

  3. The Gross Salary Button

  4. Calculate a net salary from a gross salary (support calculating for the whole year).

    Expatriate: check if you are an expatriate - you only need to pay health insurance.

    Whole year: check to calculate social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, PIT, and net salary for the whole year. You can change the calculate year if the default value (current year) is not what you want.

    Gross salary: enter your gross salary (total value if calculate for the whole year). This is the salary written in your labour contract. It is used to calculate health insurance (and social insurance, unemployment insurance if you are not an expatriate). Only use it if your gross salary was not changed during the year, otherwise please enter total insurance manually. If you have entered some value into it then "Enter Total Insurance manually" will be disabled.

    Enter Total Insurance manually: only applicable if "Whole year" is checked - check to enter total insurance manually. Use it if your gross salary was changed during the year. If you check it you will not be able to enter value into "Gross salary".

    Total Insurance: only applicable if "Enter Total Insurance manually" is checked - total insurance that you have paid.

    Taxable salary: enter your taxable salary - can be empty if it is equal to the gross salary - (total value if calculate for the whole year). This is the paid salary.

    Bonus: enter your bonus (total value if calculate for the whole year).

    Allowance: enter your allowance (total value if calculate for the whole year).

    Dependants: enter number of your dependants. If the number of your dependants was changed during the year, please enter reduction for dependants manually. If you have entered some value into it then "Enter reduction for dependants manually" will be disabled.

    Enter reduction for dependants manually: only applicable if "Whole year" is checked - check to enter reduction for dependants manually. If you check it you will not be able to enter value into "Dependants".

    Reduction for dependants: only applicable if "Enter reduction for dependants manually" is checked - total reduction for your dependants.

    Paid PIT: only applicable if "Whole year" is checked - PIT that you have paid - to calculate tax refund.

    Return button: return to the main screen.

    Calculate button: calculate social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, PIT, and net salary.

    Note: if "PIT refund" is negative then you have to pay more tax.

  5. The Net Salary Button

  6. Calculate a gross salary from a net salary (support calculating for the whole year - the calculation is not correct if your net salary changes during the year).

    Expatriate: check if you are an expatriate - you only need to pay health insurance.

    Whole year: check to calculate social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, PIT, and gross salary for the whole year.

    Net salary: enter your net salary (total value if calculate for the whole year).

    Dependants: enter number of your dependants.

    Return button: return to the main screen.

    Calculate button: calculate social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, PIT, and gross salary.

  7. Settings Button

  8. Change program's settings like social insurance rate, health insurance rate, unemployment insurance rate... These settings are only used for calculating gross salary/net salary in 1 month.

    Social Insurance: change social insurance rate.

    Health Insurance: change health insurance rate.

    Unemployment Insurance: change unemployment insurance rate.

    Region (for regional minimum wage): select the region used for calculating maximum salary which contributes to social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance.

    Max salary for SI (VND): maximum salary contributes to social insurance. This value is changed depends on the region code you choose.

    Max salary for HI (VND): maximum salary contributes to health insurance. This value is changed depends on the region code you choose.

    Max salary for UI (VND): maximum salary contributes to unemployment insurance. This value is changed depends on the region code you choose.

    Reduction for taxpayer: change amount of money which is deductible for you (per month).

    Reduction for each dependant: change amount of money which is deductible for each of your dependants (per month).

    Decimal symbol: change the delimiter of decimal numbers (e.g. 1.5 or 1,5 - one point five) - only 1 character is allowed.

    Digit group symbol: change the symbol used for digit grouping (e.g. 1.000 or 1,000 - one thousand) - only 1 character is allowed.

    View button: view the partially progressive tariff.

    Reset button: reset all settings to the default values. You must use this button to update all settings every time you update the program.

    Return button: return to the main screen.

    Save button: save all the changes that you have made.
